An intermediate level qualification exploring spirits and liqueurs for those working in the ‘spirits industry’. Covers the main categories of spirits and liqueurs and examines the influences of production methods on the different styles available in each category.
By the end of the course you’ll be able to identify how a key raw ingredients and production methods influence the style and quality of the key spirits and liqueurs of the world. Throughout the course, you’ll also develop analytical tasting skills.
No prior knowledge is required and you don’t need to complete any other qualification to enrol. If you are completely new to the world of spirits, you may wish to study the Level 1 Award in Spirits first, but this is not essential.
Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years old.

Classroom delivery: 3-day course (2 days of classroom sessions + 3rd day examination) – 14 hours of classroom time with a WSET course provider (+ minimum 12 hours self-study time before arriving on the first day).
Online delivery: 5 Zoom online sessions and tasting sample pack.
The course is delivered in English (with Polish commentary if needed).
All course materials are provided before the start of the course.
Assessment is by a closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions in English to be completed in 1 hour. A candidate is required to pass with a minimum mark of 55 per cent.
In order to give candidates an idea of the sort of questions that might be asked, this section includes 12 sample questions. The examination consists of 50 questions similar to these in the Revision Quiz below:
WSET SPIRITS LEVEL 2 Revision Quiz
All students who pass the examination will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
The price includes all study materials, examination fee, postage charge for the delivery of the study pack and coffee breaks during classroom course. Installment payment possible – down payment – 1400 PLN, then 3 monthly payments of 500 PLN.
Resit fee – 600 PLN.
Please note that Barschool.pl reserves the right to change a course date or cancels a course if enrolments do not reach the required minimum number of 6 for each course. Notification will be made in the 10 working days prior to the planned start date of the course. Course fees will be refunded in full or where possible bookings will be transferred to the next available date.
